Gadwall

The gadwall breeds in the northern regions of Europe, in the east in the central regions of northeastern China and central North America.
Typically found in pairs or small flocks in shallow wetlands, ponds, or bays, sometimes mixed with other species of ducks.
In Ukraine the breeding area covers the valleys of the Dniester, Dnieper, Pripyat, the Danube Delta, the northern coast of the Azov and Black Seas. Winters in the south of the country near the sea coast and on the Dnieper.
