The Eurasian sparrowhawk is widely distributed across Europe, Asia, and parts of North Africa.
It inhabits forests, woodlands, parks and gardens. It can also be found in both rural and urban landscapes, as long as suitable prey is available.
They are primarily feed on small birds, such as sparrows, finches, and tits. Seldom prey on small mammals, like mice and voles.
