Siskin

It is widely distributed in Europe and Asia. They are often found in coniferous and mixed forests, sometimes also in gardens and parks.

In Ukraine, it breeds in Polissia, in the Carpathians and the Crimean Mountains. Since the siskin is a migratory bird, it can be found almost throughout the entire territory of the country.

It feeds on small insects and seeds of coniferous and deciduous trees: birch, alder, spruce, fir, pine.
